Two leaves, unbound, the paper watermarked with a pot; the appraisement in a mercer's hand, the priest's declaration in the third hand of the parish register (Sir William Bure).

The crewet aforesaid I, W. Bure, declare to have byn of the priorie of oure Ladie at Wymondesfeld, whereof my wife was suster in the house before the dissolucion, and w. hir the vessel was brought forthe & kept by hir hand these fourtie yeres. I have not asseyed nor solde it. I declare it that it goe not undeclared. — W. B.

Note, at the catalogue stage. The crewet stands in no schedule of the goods carried to Lyn in 1538, nor in the assay-book of Cyprian Hawys. It is the one vessel of Wymondesfeld the ingot-book does not know. The Consistory took no fee upon it; the appraisement is dashed for that line. — Calder Carbons, catalogue card, 1957.
