Records on the evening of 20 November 1879 the substitution of Lot 47 of the Barlin sale at the instance of one Mr. Karras for £200; carries on the inside back cover, in a pencil so small as to require a knowing eye, the entry: Karras / colombina / 19 Nov 79 / £200. Found by Linnett's nephew Wallace Linnett after Thomas's death; placed with the family papers at the bank."
