  "description": "A silver-and-niello bird-pendant produced in spring 1937 by the Florence silversmith Vannucci on commission from Dimitrios Karras. Faithful to the colombina in chevron, in Greek inscription Ω ΧΡΕ Ε, in the bend in the lower left wing, and in the chain of later Continental workmanship retained from the Athens-1937 catalogue entry. Wrong by three-tenths of a gram. Catalogued by the Athens Archaeological Museum as A.B.-1937-44 and published in the Bulletin's plate XIV-3 of August 1937."
