Private memorandum from the desk of R. Hume
Found tucked behind a loose board in the captain's quarters, S.S. Iphigenia, recovered May 1913
CONFIDENTIAL
E. McCausland continues to question the northerly route. His navigational concerns are noted but overruled. The Company's interests require maintaining schedule regardless of weather conditions.
The cargo manifest discrepancies he raised will be addressed after we make port. Until then, crew is instructed to follow my orders without further debate.
If pressed by authorities later, remember: we followed established protocols.
