(here a small cross +, in red ink, in another hand. No name. No initial. No date.)

At the foot of the leaf, in a careful conventual hand, in black ink, neither Cecily's nor the clerk's:

Quia infirma erat soror A. Hooke die ix maij anno præd., datur ei tempus ad subscribendum donec conualescat. Custodia platae ad me reuersa donec illa scripserit.

Joh. Beaufitz, priorissa.

[Because Sister A. Hooke was sick on the ix of May in the said year, time is given her to sign, until she is well. Custody of the plate is returned to me until she shall have written. — Ioan Beaufitz, prioress.]

The next leaf, xxviij recto, begins the year xxx Hen. VIII in another clerk's hand:

Anno xxx, die xiij maij — Inuentarium nondum scriptum, quia visitator presens fuit ipsa die et de cuppa FitzHardy inquirit. T. Wace, clerke, hoc adnotauit.

[The inventory is not yet written, because the visitor was present on that same day and inquires concerning the FitzHardy cup. — T. Wace, clerk, has noted this here.]

In the inside margin, a much later hand, in pencil, English, undated:

who held the cuppe Mayes 1537 — May 1538?
