Extends cut 47. A society-page clipping from the Sunday Beacon, 27 November 1921, naming Hume House and the housekeeper Mrs. Costigan without naming the cash — Mr. Hume's "monthly token of remembrance" in print, the alibi for the kitchen-door receipt at pro-69. The housekeeper kept the clipping pressed in her prayer-book until 1934. M. R. L. signs the column; no kin of H. Loomis, though the city is small. A companion shelf to nami's general account — the cover story Mr. Hume put in the newspaper
