    by foreman Morrissey, per his own apportionment among the men of his gang,
    in recognition of "exceptional service on the night assignments since the
    onset of the new constitutional provisions." Cash drawn from General Account
    No. 3 upon Mr. Hume's weekly countersignature.

"Bonus column began Wk. 30. Prior to July 1920 the ledger for Gang M. had no bonus column. No bonus is paid to any other stevedore gang at Quay 3 or elsewhere. I mention this only for my own records. The arrangement has been in place for five months without incident. — J.K., 15 Nov 1920."
