Note appended below the table in Mrs. Steed's hand, in a different ink:
Miss Galt came in on the Sunday for what she thought would be five minutes and was out in twenty-five. She came to my office on Monday morning to tell me, before she went to Dr. Morley, that her chemistry notebook was not in the drawer she had left it in. I asked her if she was certain of the drawer. She said yes. I asked her if anyone else had been in the building over the weekend. I showed her the log. She read it twice. She did not ask me anything else, and she went out, and she went up to Dr. Morley's office. I have entered this note at the foot of the log so it sits next to the names.
