Hollis & Crane mapsellers purchase slip 72

Counterfoil from the private purchase book, 21 March 1917. Narrow cream stock, filed between two railway-map lots.

Bought of: L. Brenner, 14 Pike Yard.

Item: one loose hand-coloured coastal plate, "Aster Head to Kinnel Bar," from Ormond's Coastal Atlas, third state. Plate backed on old linen; green tape at upper corners; no atlas boards present.

Condition: clean. No mildew seen. Brown wrapper retained by vendor.

Price paid: six pounds ten shillings, cash.

Vendor's instruction: do not put in window or catalogue until after quarter day. If asked, say library duplicate withdrawn for mildew.

Clerk's note: Mr. Brenner wanted the receipt made to initials only. I wrote his name here because he gave a shop address.
