Brenner & Pike bindery invoice 4419

Carbon copy, torn at the left edge. Found folded behind the rear board of the shop daybook for March 1917.

To Rook Street Athenaeum, C-12 folio shelf.

12 March - received from Miss E. Vale: Ormond's Coastal Atlas, third state, boards sprung, spine detached, plate VII laid in brown wrapper.

Work charged:

  • rebacking in calf, 12s 6d
  • two new brass clasps, 4s
  • blue endpapers, 8d
  • pressing and guard repair, 3s

18 March - atlas returned by J. Quill, minus separate wrapper.

No charge entered for plate VII.

Paid cash after closing, L. Brenner, 18 March. Receipt not copied to Athenaeum bill.

Pencil note at foot: Quill says the mildew stamp is enough if Miss Vale asks.
