ye cooke sayth, ye second weeke & after: the lad doth eate at ye dresser, standinge, hys hands soot-black with ye goinge upp & downe of stayres. I haue given him a porringer of pottage twice in a weeke and a peece of ye drippinge with his bread, off ye booke. there is none other to send up, ye rest are at prayers.
